Another visitor question, Joliet, IL
I'm participating in the Warrior Dash in Joliet 6/18 and was wondering if anyone could recommend the best hotel in Joliet? They have recommendations, but I was hoping to hear from someone familiar with the area. TIA!
Re: Another visitor question, Joliet, IL
Below is the address. We would like to be close to somewhere fun (particularly a bar) to go in the evening, however we don't want to spend alot of money (such as staying at Harrah's). We have no problem with dive bars!
CPX Sports

You want fun in Joliet? Hahahahaha, good luck with that! Ok, sorry, I had to get it out, I've lived here too long, and I am not a fan! Umm, you will actually probably not want to stay too close to where the sports complex is. I actually don't know if there are any hotels over there... I would suggest the Hampton Inn on Hoboult. It is a decent hotel, and there is a bar called Heroes West right near there. There are other bars on Hoboult, but I've never been to them. Heroes was always one of my bars of choice when I hung out at the bars. They have an outdoor area with bean bags and stuff. If you were to stay by the mall (Holiday Inn Express) there is a bar called Samys. Samys is a club type atmosphere. There are plenty of dive bars in Joliet too. Email me and I'll come up with some other stuff to do in Joliet...it may be hard, but I'll try! giapez80@aol.com
