XP: Primary recs needed!

As you all know, I have had a really bad experience with my PCP in the past two months. She misdiagnosed me, put me on two failed antibiotic treatments and then left me hanging. Long story short, I need a new PCP, someone very thorough and smart, whose staff has somewhat of a clue and is not a total hassle to get a hold of, whose office returns calls and does not lose your paperwork. And at the very least, a doctor who can recognize that when antibiotics are not working, that the problem is probably viral. UGH!

I live in Kendall, so anyone in the Kendall/ So. Miami/ Coral Gables area will be much appreciated. TIA girls!!

Re: XP: Primary recs needed!

  • Ugh I wish you lived in Broward because my doctor is AMAZING.  They are so on top of paperwork (and even call in meds for you if you are sick at home with someone that you have had before), the nurses are awesome, they take you in immediately with no apt if you are sick, and the Dr. himself is so amazing and has the best bedside manner.  I could go on on and on. I love that man.

GL I hope you find someone and I think you are definitely making the right decision.  I had to leave my primary when I was younger because I had mono for a month and she didn't diagnose me after 4 visits!! I finally went to the ER and was diagnosed in 10 minutes.
