now, if you posted a roasted chicken with potatoes and grilled vegetables on the side, i'd need to leave early to get that started for dinner.

Zilla - H makes the best roast chicken. I once asked him how to make it, and the instructions went on for pages. It wasn't worth it to learn how to make it on my own. I'll just stay married to him.

I don't even bother because I don't like the dark meat. but my mother and MIL make the best roast chicken.

mom marinates hers for days in italian dressing, and it's so damn flavorful.

my MIL uses lemon juice and the fricken thing is moist even when she overcooks it. i can't take it.

I am going to have to move in with you if his chicken is that good.

He puts butter between the skin and the meat and that makes the skin sooooo good. He also puts garlic and an onion in the cavity. He also roasts roots vegetables to go with it. He gets parsnips, carrots, and potatos and roasts them with chunks of garlic and red onion with S&P and sometimes rosemary. Good times.

i love when chicken is cooked with those vegetables. this is for sure the best part of the winter - stews and roasts and roasted chicken.

Oh, my tulips are coming up in the front yard, too. I hope they come up like crazy this year!
