Paraben free antiaging products

Any recommendations?  I am 27 and starting to get some fine lines around my eyes and forehead.  I ready good things about Olay but then have also read some concerning info about parabens.

I'm looking for a cleanser and day or night cream.  Nothing too expensive!  I may have to still cave and buy the Olay if I don't get any recommendations.

Thanks!

Re: Paraben free antiaging products

  • I picked up some Kiss My Face products the other day and absolutely love them.  I'm using the exfoliating cleanser (it's safe to use daily) and a different lotion, but they have anti-aging lotion as well in the sampler pack I got, I just haven't tried it.

I got the sampler at Target - it was exfoliant, day cream with SPF, anti-aging day cream, and night cream.

    Good luck!

  • I use Alba's sea renewal cream (or something like that) at night time. It's paraben free.  I'm still new to changing over my cosmetics and toiletries to better stuff, bur parabens are my #1 no-no so far.

  • Some of Kiss My Face's products do have parabens, so make sure to read their labels.

Sorry, no recommendations. I'm not much of a face product person.

  • I use Avalon Organic's face scrub to get my makeup off and remove dead/dry skin, and that's pretty much it.  I'm not much of a face product person either.  I fully intend to let my body age the way it's supposed to, that's the greenest and most natural thing I can do.

Ooh, good to know, didn't know that.

I got the Potent & Pure collection which says it's paraben free and it wasn't on the label:

  • Its just in a few of their products, but other than the shave gel I can't remember which. I'd used other things from them and saw they were paraben-free, so I assumed when I bought the shave gel and then saw it in there. Very annoying!

  • Has anyone actually noticed a difference in your skin from the products?  I'm all for not putting dangerous chemicals on my skin, but I don't think there is anything "ungreen" or "unnatural" about wanting to use something that will prevent/correct wrinkles.

What I was trying to get across is that IMHO, it's silly to worry about aging at 27, or worry about aging at all really.  Everything grows older and dies, it's life.  I see no need to buy products, green or otherwise, to try and fix wrinkles or whatever.  They're the mark of experience and I don't intend to fix them or hide them.  Sure, I'll wear a little makeup (tinted moisturizer and mascara) to work so I look presentable, but that comes off as soon as I get home.  But I don't intend to buy anti-aging products, botox, or cosmetic surgery.  I eat right and exercise so my body can be healthier for longer, I think that's better than any anti-aging cream you can buy.  Like I said, just my two cents.

I have to agree. I tried an eye cream and a night cream a few years ago (no idea what brand), but saw no difference. I finally decided I'm just going to minimize my sun exposure but accept aging and the wrinkles that come along with it.
