I happened to have VH1 on, and just watched Justin Timberlake, with Matt Morris and Charlie Sexton, do Hallelujah for the Hope for Haiti telethon. Holie Schnit. I have chills. I love love love this song anyway, and was kinda unsure how this would be, but they did the hell out of it.
Also, hi. ::waves::
Gone too Soon.
Re: Wow.
We are! I've been in such a funk lately that a couple weeks ago I decided to start volunteering hardcore with the pitbull advocacy group I'm part of, since I have the time. I've done several transports and things like that, and this girl popped up on death row at a shelter, and just needed a foster home until a shelter here had room for her. I let them know we would need a crate and food, but we could put a roof over her for the time being. It was amazing to see, there were a lot of people that came together to go get her, get her vetted, get her here, get us a crate and food.
Her name is Bella and she's an amazing dog. You can see in my pics on FB she's literally got scars all over her face, and all over her legs and feet. She was likely a bait dog and then used over and over for breeding (she's got big saggy teats) and she weighs about 75% of what she should. But you'd never know it, she just wants to snuggle up next to you and give kisses. She's in love with H. In love. He was the one to pick her up half way from where she was to get her home, so they bonded immediately, it's adorable.
I'd love to keep her, but we know we can't. I'm really hoping someone in the rescue network adopts her before she has to go to the shelter, as I think that might set back her progress.
