I have a super beebee confession

It's been a long time, but I haz one.

Crazy-irresponsible BIL and his GF got engaged over Christmas.  Hopefully, BIL only suffered from delayed maturity and is getting his act together and will no longer be crazy-irresponsible.  I wish the best for them, but if he hasn't changed, it's their life and doesn't affect me.  GF is still in college and wants to go to nursing school, so they are planning to get married after that.

Super beebee confession:  my beebee DH and I think that DD would be the.ossumest.flower girl.EVAR.  By our estimates, she'll be about three by the time they get married.  And yes, we are That Couple who won't say anything to the B&G but will be all butthurt if they don't ask her to be a FG.

I remember WW.  I know they can opt not to have kids in (or at) their wedding, I know they might think she's too young, the rational side of me knows all that.  But the beebee side of me sees DD in a poofy dress flinging petals, and everything goes all warm and fuzzy.

If this board is still around in 3 yrs., be prepared for my insane "HOW DARE THEY PASS MY BABY OVER?!?!?!111!" post.

But really:  how perfect would she be?  Perfect, right?

Re: I have a super beebee confession

  • Yeah, she's pretty dern cute. Dress her in a cutesy poofy dress anyway and thunder jack the FG ;)

  • Yeah she'd be perfect.
  • Confession - my BFF is getting married in April 2011.  DD will not be old enough to be a FG and that gives both of us a sad.

  • Oh silly, YOU don't ask. But as soon as DD can put two words together you teach her to say adorable things in front of them about being their flower girl.  Oh, and you should go ahead and order this dress so that she can practice:

  • 3 is the PERFECT age as long as you can get her to go down the aisle.

  • Of course she will be adorable.  I spent most of younger SILs wedding watching niece instead of the vows because she was picking all the petals back up and re-scattering them...it was hilarious.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

Our niece/FG did this too! So cute. She carried her basket of petals, dumped them all out into a pile at the end of the aisle, and then got to work arranging them in the grass
