Mel or Val

I have a question and it is semi tax related.

Should I get a 1099 or some other statement regarding my SEP-IRA?  I have not yet and I'm thinking maybe I won't but I honestly have no clue (I didn't have a SEP-IRA on last year's tax return).

Sorry for asking but I really want to turn in all my tax info and get it off my desk.

Thanks!

Re: Mel or Val

  • Normally, you should receive an annual statement showing the FMV of the plan and whether or not any contributions were made.

If you withdrew from the SEP, you should receive a form 1099-R.

  • Ok thanks!  I think I got my annual statement.  No withdrawal so no 1099-R.  Got it.  Thanks again.  :)
