Its not lookin so good
for our kitty 
this weekend he started vomiting a lot, had major bathroom issues, and stopped eating. He's also hiding out in the dog's room where he never, ever goes. I just dropped him at the vet but they werent quite sure what they could do....he's 18 years old.....so, i'm waiting for their call and praying that it won't be anything too devestating.

I'm so sorry your kitty is feeling unwell. It's so hard to watch them be ill. I've had cats most of my life and they certainly become part of the family. Best wishes to you and to your kitty.

The quick update is that he was severely dehydrated (as in, hours away from very bad things). They did all sorts of blood tests to find out what led to the dehydration and came up empty handed - the doc actually said she's never seen such a healthy 18 year old cat. Made me feel better, but didnt really answer any questions as to why he got so very sick....The good news is that after spending yesterday on a liquid IV, he's back to his normal cuddly, purring self. We're so relieved!
Going forward we'll be watering down his food and giving him milky water to make sure he's getting all the fluids he needs. fingers crossed that this simple fix will keep our kitty healthy for a bit longer!
