Hi Ladies,
Well i am in the process of getting new comforter (since my dogs ruined my old one) and also i am going to get new curtains. It wont be easy since i need long curtains about 108" . I been to Ikea and i did not see what i want. So my Q is where did you get your curtains? Did anyone ever order curtains from Overstock? How did you decide what color is right for you?
My furniture is light brown, white walls (since we are renting), comforter i am thinking blue/brown/white so what color curtains?
Thanx,
Rita
Re: Where to get Curtains!!!
I think a curtain in brown or blue would look nice, to contrast against the white walls.
I got my curtains at Pier One, in the clearance section - they always have nice stuff there! I have also bought them at Ann's Linens. The prices there are unbeatable but you have to dig through stuff, which is kind of a pain.
Do they have long curtains like 108"? Right now i have brown curtains , but they are short and i feel it is too dark. I was thinking cream color or champagne?
Which curtain texture do you like: or do you think they dont go nice.

have you purchased your comforter? I have seen some really nice curtains with designs on them to bring in some color and then you can match your Comforter with your curtains.
Pier 1 has some great deals when they have them on clearence, and Ikea. I have heard that JCPenny has some really nice curtains, but I have not checked them out yet.

Curtains were the BIGGEST headache for my apt. I hated it! I bought some from Pier 1, but they weren't long enough. I had to return them.
I ended up buying mine at Ikea and my mom hemmed them (they come unfinished). Are you sure Ikea didn't have anything? They have pretty simple designs and lots and lots of colors. My mom sews and was actually very impressed with the quality of my curtains. With that length, you may have to get them from Ikea or buy them online.
I would buy your comforter first, then find the curtains that go. Comforters can be are hard to find as well. But, if you go with your brown/blue/white color scheme I would go with a champagne or light blue. It depends on the look you want. Check out websites for inspiration
i have not purchased a comforter yet. I was thinking buying a comforter first i better since curtains you can find any design or color to match it. Comforters are harder to find the ones that you like lol.
I need to check out JcPenny.
Thanx
