We don't have off yet, but they're teasing us by providing a snow number to call and a job order number to use in case of base closure. I may just take the rest of the week off. Haven't decided yet. I definitely need the mental break.
If I'm snowed in, I plan on finishing up some DIY stuff and maybe cooking some chili and making chicken pot pie. Depends on how lazy I feel. Right now I just want to catch up on my DVR'd shows.

My work never closes...ever. I would love a snow day. Even if I can't literally make it to the office I have the ability to work from home.
So tomorrow I will be working in my pjs.
We were pretty much told to expect off tomorrow and thursday....sounds great but now we have 2 more snow days,,keeping us in school until June 24th
I just rented "The Time Travelers Wife" so I'm looking forward to watching that and then I guess we'll paint again...the snow has been forcing us to paint since we are stuck in the house.
Like Izzy, nothing definitive yet, but all signs are pointing to us closing. I'm hoping we have both Wed. and Thurs. off, but I'll take what I get
If we're off, I'm making a gigantic pot of spaghetti gravy and meatballs. And I'm also trying a new experiment - buffalo chicken sausage pizza. We'll see....
Otherwise, I do need to do some laundry and vaccuuming. Fun.
We have a number to call as well so it's a waiting game now.
Either way, I don't think I'm coming in. While we have the ability to work from home, not everyone in the office does so if they don't declare it, I'll have to use a vacay day
But if I am not working at home, I will be cleaning out our "junk room" so we can move our guest bunk beds over there and prep the room that will be a nursery.
I feel no pain for you school workers because alas I work everyday in June.
We were told before we left that the federal offices in Philly are closed tomorrow, so DH & I both have off. We will be snowed in the with rugrats so we will be spending the day trying not to go crazy!
We have been stuck in the house WAY too much these past few weeks!
I have off on Friday (& monday, obviously) so it's going to be REALLY hard for me not to call out on Thursday... we'll see how commited I am, lol.
I know, we suck
but still, the kids get insane towards the end of the year and now that it keeps getting extended they are gonna be nuts. Dealing with 23 crazy first graders is not fun
Who are you kidding? They are insane already! Just the idea of a snow day had them wound up today. And if anyone ever wants to do a study on how weather or the moon affects kids' behavior, I'm willing to give my input.
I'll be home with DS as usual
. H will be home too, since they already declared a snow day at the school where we work. I'd prefer not to be stuck in the house. Not that I'd be out doing anything fun and exciting, but I like knowing I could go out if I wanted to.
I am embarassed to admit this, but I still have not sent thank you cards and birth announcements. I'm going to use my free time to work on that tomorrow.
Summer - I never did Birth Announcements. It took me awhile for thank yous, too.
I'm working from home. H took off - he had to take a vacation day because his office never closes. I'll probably work at home again tomorrow and he'll try and go in at some point.
I'm putting off the work I have to do, and watching Jack play instead.
I am home and dh is home...we will do nothing all day!
I love snow! I went to college in Massachusetts and was used to ridiculous amounts of snow all the time. I have longed for snow like this for so many years and am so happy that we are finally having a real winter!
i never did birth announcements either! between my blog and facebook i just decided it wasnt necessary for me. (and i did get a thank you from you so i think you must have started them!)
I did get the thank yous out from my shower, but we've been so blessed to receive additional gifts here and there since Chase was born. I don't want to seem ungrateful! Instead of stalking the nest with my ten minutes of free time I am going to write at least 10 thank you card right now!
