Dolce Arrowhead... Please rec

I am looking for a massage therapist and a nail tech at this spa.  I want to get couples massage before our wedding and am considering this spa and Suddenly Slimmer day spa. Also considering Dolce for pre-wedding mani/pedi since it is near my home. Thanks xoxoxo

I dont know what the hype is about Dulce. When I was on the knot years ago a lot of the girls were let down, ie Dolce didnt live up to the hype.

My ALL TIME favorite spa is Spa Lamar www.thelamar.com It is on Scottsdale Rd about 1/2 mile north of Fashion Square. It is family owned and run which always gets a big plus in my book! I have had massages, body scrubs and facials there and all have been FAB!

If you go on the first Wednesday of the month, bring a friend and you BOTH get HALF off your services!!! (just ask when you make the appt) I love this place because it is Co-Ed So you can hang in the steam room and sauna together while you wait for your treatments. I think they do couples massages as well.

 

I looove the Sanctuary as well but it is $$$$ and its not co ed which is a bummer. But it is nice as hell!

That is great! The La Mar is right by the resort where we are getting married. Do you have any favorite massage therapists there?

Maybe describe her to the reseptionist when you  book..she is an older shorter woman.

When I first saw her, I thought, oh great some old lady who wont be able to work me over, but she gave me one of the best massage of my life. I have had a few other poeple there and all did a great job, I ave never left there disappionted!

THE BEST massage though was the sanctuary...I felt like I was close to having an out of body experience! I need to save my pennys up for that place again!

Thanks for your help. I made our appointment at LaMar mostly because it's co-ed. Do you remember if your massage therapist was named Marilyn or Shirley?

Santuary is offering 10% off this month. So a one-hour with gratuity would be $165. Just thought I'd throw that out there for ya. :-)

 

Anyway, thank again! Let me know if you can remember the name. They said that they could look you up and find out who you saw and then I had to explain to them that I only knew your screen name. ha LOL

I've only been to Dolce Arrowhead once- but I ADORE Dolce Chandler.

When you walk in off the street it can be a bit more pricey then other salon and spas, but once you get on their mailing list- it's SO affordable its ridiculous.  They always have special menu's, discounts and even do facebook hook ups (if your a fan of theirs on FB).

For me, it's not so much about Dolce, but the people I see (I think this is the same for a lot of spa's/salons).  I do know that Dolce Arrowhead has a HUGE waiting area (bigger then any other salons) including a sauna and hot tub in the spa waiting area's.  Chandler and Scottsdale don't have the same amenities.

Thanks Jennifer! We will be going to Lamar for our couples massage but will probably still end up going to Dolce at Arrowhead for my mani/pedi. :-) Let me know if you can suggest anyone there. Thanks!
