Gah! Sutpid new Facebook - I need help.
Why can't I see my friends' status updates on my newsfeed anymore? Do I have something set weird or do they? I noticed that the couple of times I checked it today the top post never updated. I have it set to "Most Recent" versus "Top News" because I thought Most Recent was equivalent to the old "View Live Feed" setting. I checked my cousin's profile because she's on all.the.time and sure enough, she updated her status and posted something on her wall 15 minutes ago that I can't see in my newsfeed.

I think it's a glitch. I checked mine about a half hour ago and the "most recent" thing was something someone had posted 3 hours ago. Unless all 225 of my friends are going on FB silence, I doubt that was truly the most recent update.
Hopefully they'll get it all sorted out soon.
The FB home page is changing to a new layout. Mine was "broken" for about a day and a half and then I got the revised look this morning. I had the same problems - it didn't post new stuff for hours or it would say that I had no new posts. Very annoying.
But now that mine has switched, I want my status updates back. Anyone know how to do this?
That's exactly the question I'm asking. I have the new look now but the new status updates/posts don't show up. I hope it's a glitch as pp said.

Oh, sorry. I thought you were saying you still had the old layout, but weren't getting new status updates. My bad.
I'm not convinced it's a glitch. On the last layout update, there was a way to filter for only status updates. I liked that a lot, but since I don't see a way to do that...
You might try going to Edit Options at the bottom of your news feed and make sure her name is the the "Show More" column.
click on 'friends' on the left and you get the option for status update.
Yeah, I was on Most Recent and it still wasn't showing everyone. It seems to be showing most everyone now.
