My HP has bitten the dust. As much as I love it I think I want to go to a new brand. I know to many people that had problems with HP and I think I just got lucky these past few years.

I know there is going to be a lot of Mac post, but tell me why please! I am not that big into editing stuff (photos, video) I just use Picasa and use Google Docs for everything. 

Help a gal out please!

I had a HP & when it died last year I was able to buy a Toshiba (something I had been wanting for a long time) I am running Vista 64 & only run into trouble with firefox so I love it. When looking for a new laptop I would say check out NewEgg.com they have the best prices around (plus there computer often include more stuff in them)

Mac: I don't have to worry about viruses. When I tell it to do something it gets it done right away. Pc's take for ever to load. And it doesn't come w/ a bunch of stuff that I don't need or want loaded on it. Also it's so sexy!

If you don't really care for Macs, Asus is the best (in my opinion) brand out there. I have an Acer laptop which I use for internet, documents, and pictures. It's still going strong 3 years later.

Asus. I have a K60 and love it--they make most of their own parts and the laptops are a great price for what you get. I have a Sony Vaio equivalent for 1/2 the price.
