Looking for recommendations for outdoor wedding venues in Evansville (or Henderson, KY). So - if you've been to one or had one, tell me where, please!! A good friend of mine is having a small (30-40 ppl) wedding and reception here in May. She lives in North Carolina, but is originally from Henderson, KY and that's where all her family is. I live in E'ville, but I've not been to an outdoor ceremony or reception here.
Ideally she'd like to have the ceremony and reception in the same place. I've posted an inspiration pic of hers that shows the general idea. Since it's small, she wants to do round tables w/ umbrellas, rather than a tent. And she'd like to be able to serve alcohol.
Any recommendations or input are appreciated! TIA!
Re: Recommend Evansville Outdoor Wedding Venues
Pagoda at the riverfront - weather option
Audobon Park in Henderson- very nice for cousins wedding several years ago. At the time they allowed all food brought in including alcohol without a license.....
Bauerhaus- outdoor area but may be too pricey for size
New Harmony Inn- a bit of a drive but very similar and offers indoor backup
Check with some of the orchards, I'd think real options.
HTH! Evansville is hard to find unique spots that are for rent and not just someone's cousin or inlaws. (although I could name 10 of those!)
Hola Chica!
If I remember I'll bring pics of our wedding to lunch. It was outside at Zoar UCC church, on the far west side. And, um, we're not members. They have an ampitheater type seating place for the wedding, and plenty of space if she wanted the reception there, too.
Audubon is very nice, I've been to a great wedding there.
Kokie's on the westside has a nice outdoor area.
The colleges each have nice outdoor areas, but are also dry campuses.
There is a lake/park in Boonville (scales lake, i think), too, that has a gorgeous area for weddings, lake front.
Several of the lodges around town offer areas, too, but I'm not sure on membership status (as in, if they offer their lodges to be rented out by non-members).
I don't know if they do weddings, but the FOP camp on Happe road probably has areas. I haven't been there in a long time, but it was decent.
