Jack, Kate & Sawyer were extra annoying last night.  Quit running, people!!! 

But I was all asquee in the final scene with Claire.  I'm so glad they aren't just dropping that storyline.  I've always wanted closure on what happened to her.

I love the soft, vulnerable Sawyer. I wonder what he's going to end up doing.

Did you notice Sayid's voice/demeanor is totally different? He's all weak and whimpery now, which is totally unlike him. I think he's possessed ("claimed") by the demon/MIB. It looked like one of the tests Dogen ran on him last night was pouring that ash on him that they use to encircle the temple. And WTF @ them trying to poison him?

I still hate the dual storylines.  Kate needs to stop being such a ho with jack and Sawyer.  If Claire was all possessed by the dark side or whatever, why was she helping Jin in the end?

I don't know that she WAS helping him. If she's "claimed," (i.e. possessed by MIB/Smokey), then she was probably trying to kill the Temple folks. I think she recognized Jin and hesitated.

I was just reading theories over on Lostpedia.  One suggests that maybe all of the groundwater is contaminated somehow.  Jin was just about to drink from the creek when The Others grabbed him and then Claire came to the rescue.  There did seem to be an emphasis on water drinking last night.  We saw Kate refilling her canteen from a spicket in Otherville/Otherton, Miles was sent to get water for Sayid, Jack was drinking and offering water to Sayid, etc.  I don't know what that could mean, but it is an interesting thought.

I love that Claire is the new Danielle. Also, I'm wondering if the smoke (disease) is why so many people are back alive - Jacks Dad, Locke, Sayid - and what it really is aside from evil/bad.

Interesting theory on the water. I noticed it but not really. I was way more focused on the alternate world this episode. The whole Aaron/Claire/Kate thing was intriguing. It's like Kate knew and when she recognized Jack at the airport it all clicked in or something.

They aren't really alive. Smokey just inhabits their bodies. It did the same thing with Alex, and used her to get Ben to do what It wanted.
