Help me decide.

Man and I aren't really doing Valentines Day this year but he got me a massage for Christmas that we're using the 20th, so that is now my VDay gift. So, I want to get him something as well, especially because I wasn't able to get him anything real for Christmas. Anyway, he really wants a photo/painting of NYC for the apartment. I found these that I can get, at a reasonable price. Which one looks better from an "oh, yeah, that's NYC" perspective?

image(the one listed is 11x14, I'd likely get either that size or an 8x10 and frame it)

OR these three, which would be 5x7 matted and framed by the photographer

Re: Help me decide.

  • My personal favorite is the Chrysler Building. But it's my favorite bldg in the city. I think the big one you posted is great too. you get the skyline and that great effect.
  • L, I LOVE the first one, but I like bigger things on the wall as opposed to smaller, grouped items.

    Where would it be placed?

"I would be sad if sex was only about the climax, lame." Someone who is obviously doing it wrong

  • I like the whole "WOW" encompassing effect of the first one.

  • If it were me, I'd pick the one big one. The other three don't really "go" together because they're so different. Maybe it would be better if they were all black & white. JMO.

Not sure. Right now all we have is empty walls, and I have a ton of art that can be hung, but want some of it to be his. Probably in the entryway or living/dining room.

Thanks everyone, I was leaning toward the first one myself. I love the Chrysler Building though, so I might just get a small one of that too.
