Thanks Amy! John will be happy to know that he's got another fan. Underwater photography is a hobby of his and has been for almost the last ten years. Whenever he shows me new pictures after coming home from a dive, I think that it would be fun to get into the water with him. Then I remember that I can't really swim and should leave that stuff to him. =P

Ooh, this sounds interesting! Can I see too? That has to be an amazing talent since I find it difficult enough taking photos above water sometimes!

His website is onebreathphoto.com. One Breath because everything is done freediving. Two years ago when we went to Florida, he brought along his old underwater camera and told me I could use it to take my own pictures of the manatees. Well, it was a total epic FAIL on my part and I gave up after just a few shots. And the most pathetic thing? I was only floating at the surface in shallow water, lol. I couldn't even imagine diving down in deeper water and getting pictures while not breathing!

Lisa, I went to John's website to look at his manatee photos (ours didn't turn out so hot), but the gallery isn't working for me.  Any thoughts on why that might be or what I'm doing wrong?

Hmm, is it just that one gallery or do the others not work as well?  I just checked it using my browser (old IE) and it's working for me.  What browser are you using?

I was using Firefox, but just tried it using an old IE browser.  Neither one worked for me.    Here's what I see:

Silly questions but is your Javascript enabled and your Flash updated?  (And that would be the extent of my troubleshooting capabilities.    I'll let John know and see what he can come up with.)
