Snow Today!

Everyone's buzzing today about all the snow we're supposed to get.  I'm actually leaving work after a lunch meeting today (woohoo!) and my evening class got cancelled.  I feel like I'm in elementary school again getting so excited for snow delays/cancellations.

Anyone else leaving early, or better yet not going in at all?

Re: Snow Today!

  • I wish work was like school and we could get out for snow. I have never had a job like that though haha.

  • If I was at the hotel today, I'd probably have to stay. But thankfully I have today off, so I'm relaxing at home. Smile
  • I got an early release.  I will probably do work from home though because I have a lot to get done.  I would rather just have no snow!  I am like the grinch when it comes to winter weather.
  • I'm working from home and there is nothing in Boston. I've seen flakes but was just out with the dog and the ground is wet and he is dirty but there is no snow.
  • I came in 1.5 hrs early so I'd get everything finished by noon, and I'm still here. I'll leave shortly- technically I could have gone home an hour ago (when I finished my bench work), since I'm going to be working from home all night (presentation tomorrow). I hope I haven't waited too long and will now hit snow rush hour, though.

And I had such high hopes for a nice snow day!

  • I stayed home since I have to go into Cambridge (from northern MA). I was thinking about going in and leaving when the snow started but then all the towns I drive through announced early releases and I figured I'd get stuck in hours of traffic if the storm came in full force (like 2 years ago with the evening commute that took me 3 hours longer than usual).

I can't believe we just got a dusting and how wrong the meteorologists were. I could have worked the whole day. I have plenty of vacation time, but it is just so stupid.
