One week's worth of antibiotics. Other than that, he is fine. Ax was shaking when we got there, but was better by the end. He was even approaching people in the lobby.
He has been really awesome and done well around every new person he has met. We need to be better about taking him places, but it has been so cold, we haven't gone anywhere (plus, he isn't potty trained yet).
I also asked the vet to check out his teeth, because they are the tiniest things ever. I think that explains why it takes him so long to eat. He has tic tac teeth - hee. The vet said it is probably genetic, but no big whoop.
There is an adoption event on the 20th, and I am hoping he'll meet a great family. The lady that was supposed to adopt him backed out. So, we're looking for new takers!
Re: Back from the vet
yay for good drugs.
He's adorable.
How old is Ax? We've been taking Herbert to puppy playdates at the local doggy daycare. They're $10 for an hour long session of her running and jumping with other puppies. Maybe there's something similar for dogs in your area? It's really helped Herbert be more comfortable with humans and other dogs (she's always been friendly, but now she doesn't jump and nip as much, and she doesn't lunge at people on the street when we're walking.
There are dogs there that are really skittish and spend the first half of the class hiding in the corner, but by the end you'd never know it.
Crap...I Mean Crafts
During the more mild months, there are monthly pug play dates and there is usually a monthly adoption event (where all the available pugs come to play and show them cute selves off). There hasn't been one since we had Ax, though.
There are a few doggie daycares in the area, but they are either out of town, or clear on the other side of town. When the weather gets better, we'll be sure to take him to the dog park. Once he is potty trained, I'll bring him to work with me.
