Valentines day Traditions?

Can you help me to come up with some good valentines day traditions? This is our first Valentines being married and I love traditions and want ideas for valentines day traditions! Things that will bring us together! Thanks

Re: Valentines day Traditions?

  • For us we don't celebrate it, I don't like things that are forced.  But has Vday always been special before being married?  If it has, doesn't have to be something big, make a nice dinner, make some dessert and of course have some sex.  Simple is always better.

  • Ever since we started dating in college my DH and I have always stayed in and made dinner and dessert together. We will get something cute but inexpensive for each other and some chocolate to share and then after dinner we watch a movie. We also love exchanging cards (not only for v-day but all the time) so we do that too.
  • breakfast in bed?

  • I asked this same question and got some sour answers. Have a great time. What ever you and your hubby like to do, make it a holiday! If you two love to cook, make V day a day for cooking a dinner together that you both have never made and see how it comes out. Good luck!
  • we hiss at anyone who celebrates it.

this happens a lot. some people are b!tchy.

my FI and i are spending the day at home, he plans to have a bubble bath (Surprise) which is a shocker to me. he sounds like he has something up his sleeve. i wanted to make dinner for us, but he wants to get dressed up and go out - another (Surprise)

  • It's our first Valentines Day together as a married couple as well. We don't really have any big plans. I got him a movie he wants... and he got me a certificate for a pedicure. (We haven't given them yet.) I like the idea of making dinner and dessert together. Maybe going on a walk if it doesn't rain.
  • Thank you all so much! I really like the idea of cooking together and staying in and giving little gifts! Again thank you so much!
