Senior dog needs home
There is a chow mix in an upstate shelter who needs a loving home- she is a HW and cancer survivor and she has the sweetest face.
No doubt when my foster gets adopted I will see if she still needs help but in the mean time, if anyone is interested in saving her, let me know, I'll PM you the details!
She is NOT in danger of being PTS (that I am aware of), but she is in a poorly funded outdoor shelter.
I have a senior (9 y/o) border collie foster dog who I pulled early last week from a shelter. He is a great dog (but in a warm home, so he's got one up on the chow). If you are looking for a BC with a huge heart, let me know and I'll direct you to our application process.

Oh my gosh...my husband might kill me, but if you have any more info on her please forward it along to me! We have two now and have talked a bit about adding more to our zoo. I'd love to know more--size, temperament, okay with other dogs (especially younger dogs).
