Sedona recs

Hi Ladies! The big day is the 27th of this month. I cannot believe it.

After the wedding FI and I will be staying at the L'Auberge resort in Sedona for a few days. I am so excited to have the alone time. It has been almost 3 years since the birth of our son.

So far we have scheduled the Pink Jeep Tour, will probably take a drive on Schnebbly Hill road, spend lots of time lounging. That is about all that I have planned so far. I'd love some spa time while we are there.

I am looking for some recs for food, things to do, spas, etc.

Where are some good & affordable places to eat in Sedona? We are planning to do one nice dinner during our stay. So far my only consideration for this is at the resort where we are staying.

Feel free to suggest anything.

Your help is greatly appreciated! xoxoxo

Re: Sedona recs

  • Eeeeeeeee we stayed at the L'Auberge after our wedding in one of the cabins! AMAZING! Make sure you get up early to feed the ducks AND go to all the wine receptions they host in the lobby, DH and I got a nice buxx for free every night no thanks to the L'Auberge!

The restaurant there is nice, but way pricey and its the first place that I went to where I felt realllly out of place. Its just over the top fancy.

Our top two favorite places to eat are Savanahs (we got engaged here)  AND Cucina Rustica (Uber romantic)

If you can, sneak away and go up to Jerome! We had lunch at the Assylum (in the hospital turned hotel) It was tasty and fun!

    Good luck!

  • Sedona Rouge is where we stayed when we went a couple years ago.  Their restaurant, Reds, was pretty good.  I hear their spa is nice, and I fully intend to find out for myself next time we're there.   http://www.sedonarouge.com/

We loved Troia's!  It's not overly fancy, the service is awesome, and the food is absolutely delicious!  I was a little surprised when our server gave us crayons so we could draw on the white paper tablecloths, but we ended up having a blast and made the time go by quickly while we waited for our meals.  http://www.troias.com/

If you like wine, you could take a short trip to Alcantara Vineyards.  Great wine and fun tasting experience.  We've been there a few times, always enjoy it, and usually end up bringing a few bottles home.  http://www.alcantaravineyard.com/

I'm sure you'll have a great time while you're there!

  • Those are all great suggestions. Thanks Ladies!
  • Those are all great suggestions.

Pick up a Kudos Magazine while you are here for what's going on for the week. They are free at every gas station.

In addition, I recommend the Martinin Bar on Wednesday night. The best little funky new age jazz band, The Jazz Bedouins, play there. The sushi bar is right next door and will deliver to the club.

Oh, and visit The Chapel of the Holy Cross. It is an architechural wonder. Remember to bring your camera.

I second Cucina Rustica and if you don't feel like driving to the Village of Oak Creak for dinner then Dahl & DiLuca is owned by the same people. I little different menu, but just as good. Ask for Francis, he is their best waiter.

Savannas has the best Happy Hour in town!

My favorite winery is the Javelina Leap.

I don't know if you can request your jeep driver, but Shan is a hoot!

My favorite hike is in Boynton Canyon. It's relatively easy and the views are spaectactular!

Yes, yes, yes, go to Jerome. Haunted Hamburger uses only fresh, never frozen, ground beef. Nellie Blye has hand made kaliedescopes from around the world.

Oh, I could just go on and on. Have fun while you're here!
