Sharing my secret...

I'm thinking of getting a Mac Book Pro for DH. I would really like to surprise him with this, but he doesn't like surprises, and I know that he wouldn't mind being surprised with a gift like this, except for the fact that he's a computer nerd so I could potentially screw up his ideal mac book.

Any way, I haven't completely made up my mind yet, or all the details, and It's not like I'm going to talk to him about it and ruin the surprise - I just wanted to tell someone this idea I have going around in my head.

Re: Sharing my secret...

  • You are much nicer than I am...I wish I were married to you!

Of course, to my H, a Mac Book Pro would not be a meaningful gift.  But I bet he would love a big screen TV!

  • Why not get him an apple gift card? Put it in a card or just take him to the store and hand it to him. You'll still be able to surprise him and he'll be able to get just what he wants. Seems like a win win to me...that is if the sell gift cards for that amount.

Since you want to keep it a secret from him than yes, gift card all the way. I either get dh a gift card or I have him make me a list of a bunch of items he wants and send me links to them (car stuff too since I'm even more clueless on that then the computer stuff). I'm always sure then that I'm buying the right thing :)

  • I agree about a gift card.  I think you could do something really fun like take him out to dinner, then have a shopping spree at the Apple store!  If he doesn't want to come, I will :)
