Seriously. My ute is playing mind games with me. I had consistent contractions 6-8 min apart for about 12 hours yesterday/last night. They weren't terribly painful, but worse than menstrual cramps and I felt really achy in my back and hips. Decided I'd try to get some sleep and apparently they went away, or at least decreased enough that nothing woke me up. I got up this morning and started having more, about 6 min apart. Took a nap and noticed some while I was napping but they were probably 15 min apart. Why the heck isn't this progressing into active labor?!?!?! Gah! I thought for sure last night they'd get stronger and closer together.
I've decided I need some retail therapy. Gonna head to the mall and WALK and shop. Walking and just being upright seems to really trigger my contractions so it better DO SOMETHING. Seriously, this is really starting to frustrate me, especially because the contractions are really uncomfortable now and I don't want to have to feel them for days before this baby finally decides to evacuate.
Ok. Vent over. Thanks.

It won't be much longer (I know that doesn't make you feel better!). Your body is getting ready.
Have you thought about accupuncture?

Awww hon, I can understand your frustration. Retail therapy sounds gooooood, maybe get some body creams and other 'spa' like items and go home and have a little spa day. Apply a facial mask, lay in a yummy smelling bath, whilst reading a good book.
You know, that kinda thing. It'll be a while before you get to be so luxurious again so use this time to indulge girly! Heed what I say!!! Haha.
I know this is pointless to say and will be hard for ya to do, but I can't say it enough....try to relax, honey. What will be, will be.

Oh I hope they are the real deal. It will happen soon enough:-)
This! I know it must be frustrating for you. Personally since E was a premmie I never had the chance to do the waiting game. But this time is going to pass in a blink of an eye. Someone told me once that taking care of the baby inside is much easier than outside...how true it is

Looks like I won't need to update everyone, Christine! You're already updating everyone from home!
Your little one might make her entrance on her due date!

Yep, here I am throwing unsolicited advice but...can't help it...
Try to labour as much as you can at home.
Get hubby to call the hospital every now and then and they will let ya know (and you will probably know) when it's time to start making your way in.
