might be getting a new car on saturday
I'm all asquee over it's dreaminess. heated seats. heated wiper blades (no more ice-boogers!), and heated review side mirrors.
i am going to miss my car though. 2001 honda civic lx, green. i call her LiXy
it was my first brand new purchased all by me car. took me on road trips, had a little bcbc with mr. kat. got me to work and back. she's a good girl. got 184,000 miles on her (all highway), and she still rides like a champ. ::le sigh:: i'm sure someone else will find her just a reliable and fun to drive. plus they'll get a great deal on a nice car.
Re: might be getting a new car on saturday
What's the name of that car? I like it.
I have to say I'm impressed with this:
had a little bcbc with mr. kat.
I know how small civics are.
new ride will be a subaru outback 2.5i Premium (2010...stick shift).
and that bcbc with mr. kat required a bit of contortion on our part. i think i still have a parking break sized dent in my thigh.
the subaru will prove much easier to get our freak on.
if this 'bru's a'rockin' don't come a'knockin'.
I'm side-eyeing the Subie, but only because around here, it's an automatically even-more-horrific-than-usual driver. Every. Time.
Don't let the Subie change you, is what I'm sayin'.
don't worry, i already own my yuppified status. we have 2 macbooks, matching iPhones, and we love us some starbucks.
but i won't get insufferable.
I am jealous! We had to get cheap cars. And I was SO sure my next car would have heated seats!
Also, I cried when I traded in my 1998 accord. (I blame pregnancy hormones, at least a little.) Really, it had been with me since college, through plenty of boyfriends (though no BCBC), life in 5 states, grad school, and my first kid. Not much else stays the same while everything else changes, you know?
