Why didn't anyone tell me this was a show?

WTF @ their ancient asses wanting another baby?!?!?! Was adoption never an option in those 12 years? His grandkids are older than his child.

I watched that show, too.  And WTF at having a 2nd child?!?!

I tried to watch this and couldn't. I just couldn't watch the doctors talk about this woman and act like her being pregnant was anything but an abomination of nature.

Do you all not remember me telling you about my friend's mom? She had a kid at 57. Couldn't "justify" donating or destroying the remaining embryos so at 59.5 she gave birth to twins. Which almost killed her.

She blamed it on the fact that she'd had a c-section before hand and that caused all of the problems, *not* her age.

 She's a whack job. My friend (crazy's daughter) is pregnant with her first. I'm praying she doesn't board the crazy train.

The addicted one came on after that. The couple seemed nice enough. I sort of hope they make it.

I think one of his adult kids brought that up and wasn't too pleased at the possibility of having to raise her half brother.

I didn't watch, and I'm certainly not going to justify having a baby after 50.  I hope by that time I'll be willing to accept life as is and get over the baby thing.  But I'll point out that adoption may not have been an option.  Most international programs and a lot of domestic adoption agencies won't work with people over 45 or 50.

They didn't wake up at 55/64 and say they wanted a baby. They'd been trying in some form or fashion since they'd been married.

In some cases they did. In the case of my friend's mom, she had been married 9 times. The current husband is 1/2 her age and wanted kids. Crazy Mom tried to convince my friend that she also wanted to give her (friend) a sibling. Problem with that - Friend was already grown and out of the house and didn't want siblings anymore.
