Valentine's Day

So, what are everyone's plans?

I'm not a big fan of V-Day and we usually do something low key....my fave so far was the year we went to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings (nearly empty) and then went to the store and bought 12 different beers to take home and drink :)

This year we're doing chocolate fondue then champagne in the hot tub. We've gone back and forth on the gift thing but I don't think we're going to exchange anything.

Re: Valentine's Day

  • I think we're going to stay home. I tried to make reservation at the restaurant at the top of the Tower of America's, but they were booked for Friday and Saturday!! (I did this a month ago...) :( Sooo? I think I'm going to make Chicken Marsala (his favorite meal) and buy a tiramisu and watch a Netflix movie. That's about it!!

Our first Valentine's Day in San Antonio was in 2004 - being new in town, we didn't know where to go. EVERY restaurant we went to had at least a 2 hour wait. So drove around so long that the only thing we could find with no line was a Wendy's. And honestly, it was probably one of the *most* memorable VDay's we had ever had!! ;)
  • We are staying home too. We just moved into our new house so we are going to relax and have a nice dinner and watch some movies. We don't do gifts for valentines, usually its just another excuse to hang out together and not do anything.

  • We always make dinner.  This year V day is also Lunar New year, which we like celebrating too so our romantic meal will have an asian flare to it. And we're also having champagne of course!
