So, I haven't been posting that much lately because soo much has been goin on, its crazy. I want to update everyone and anyone for that matter about whats going on in my life..prepare yourself, it may be long...I'm gonna break it up in to (not so) little paragraphs..
About 2 weeks ago MH fell off our porch on the second story of our condo. He was trying to be thoughful and let me and the girls sleep, so instead of moving a really big latter through the house, he figured he would put it off the deck and then go around and put it on his car. WELL, he went to put it over the deck and he was leaning over the banister with it BAM! he fell right over the deck. I was sleeping and when I heard the loud noise I jumped out of bed to see him sprawled on the grass. I grabbed my phone (wasn't sure if I was going to need to call 911) and ran outside and around to the back of the house. By the time I got there DH has already jumped up out of shock and was bent over the stone wall..he insisted he didn't need to go to the hospital, wether in an ambulance or not. So, he layed on the couch all day. A few days later it wasn't getting any better, he went to his PCP and they took an X-RAY which showed no broken bones or anything (thank god..) so suggested DH go on pain killers (vicodin). Well, DH took them for like 2 days, and they didn't even touch the pain. Since they weren't helping and neither of us are too keen on mind altering medications, he stopped taking them.
In between then and now (about 2 wks.) his pain has remained the same, if not worsened. Also, we have been preparing to move. Our lease was up February 28th, so for the last month we have been looking for another rental. Here are a few issues with the having to move deal; originally when we signed our lease we signed for 1 year with the almost guarantee he would lease it to us for another 1-2 years. He was a bachelor and traveling for work and play, etc., and had no use for the condo. Well as fate might have it, he met a woman, and they got married! And now he wishes to move back in to the condo with her and start a family, etc. so that almost guarantee was off the table and we have to get out. Well, during our search for a new rental (we used our nest egg to pay for our wedding and are re-building it now and not able to purchase a home) we found a house for rent that we really liked. The listing agent informed us that they wanted someone to rent it ASAP so we opted to terminate our lease on Feb. 15th with our current landlord. Well, that decision was made RIGHT before MH was injured. SOOO, for the last few weeks I have had to pack EVERYTHING myself, take care of everything around the house by myself and I'm going CRAZY.
We are moving this weekend and we got a bunch of friends to help us out Saturday AM but tomorrow I need to move as much as I can of the little stuff (boxes, kids furniture, etc.) BY MYSELF!
Also, I am being such a hypocryte (sp?) because I always tell people not to count on money they don't have yet, here I am wishing and hoping for my tax refund check to get here. It was supposed to be direct deposited in MH's account but because it was our joint return but it was being put in our NOT joint account, the bank rejected it and now they are saying we might not get it until March! We could really use it right now for some new stuff for the house and savings/cushion. AND AHH.
Lastly, MH had an appointment with his surgeon (he fell off a roof and broke his neck! and had to have 2 surgeries..hes accident prone) b/c he felt like the surgeon will give him a different option then his PCP. I beg to differ, he's a surgeon, hes gonna offer surgery! Whereas, the PCP will go all other routes before suggesting surgery (pain killers, physical therapy..) and so the surgeon ordered him an MRI so he's off to the hospital right now to do that..so hopefully we'll get some answers or something.
Anyways I just reallllly needed to vent. Thanks!
Okay, thanks for listening/reading!
Re: Soo stressed & just want to let everyone know my business
::Hugs::
I hope your DH feels better soon and gets some answers on why he's still in so much pain. GL with the move! I HATE moving and am so glad I don't have to do it again for a very long time. Hang in there, it'll all be over and back to normal before you know it.
So sorry everything is crazy hope it all works out soon.
