We're Number One!

Presently DC is the snowiest city in the country this winter. We've got Buffalo beat by 3 inches. 2009-2010 is also our snowiest winter evar. This is not a record I ever wanted to see broken. How about "Longest stretch of 85 degree sunny days"? That's one I hope we break this year. Starting like, next week.

    Yes

And I think it should have started like, last week.

  • A friend of mine is in Calgary on business. She says it's warming in Canada right now than it is in D.C.

I think that means the world is ending.

There's an underground effort here to see if we can ship this mess to Vancouver. Would it stay frozen all that way? We know intellectually it can't but still... it seems like such a waste.

  • Please add this to another reason why I must live in the south.

  • Nola, we live in the South! The old record was from 1899! The last time we had a real city-stopping snowstorm was 2003, and before that was 1996.

  • Too bad flights are grounded, otherwise you could fly the snow to Canada.

Also, this is why I'll never leave California.

  • Consider it my gift from Iowa to you. YOU'RE WELCOME.

  • I seriously can't believe I'm missing this. All that snow reminds me of college. Although I'm thinking Syracuse-style snow is best left in Syracuse, where they know how to deal with it.
