Anybody else not into V-day or St. Pats day? I'm really looking forward to Easter and spring. I'm tired of all this snow here in Ohio! Easter means we are closer to sunshine and warm weather.

So excited to meet Amelia Catherine!
Easter stuff has already been in the stores since before V day was here. I do like the Cadbury Creme Eggs and the mini eggs and have already indulged...
As for St. Pats, well I'm a toddler teacher, so any excuse for a class party! We'll talk a little about leprechauns and wear green and have sweet treats for snack.
I don't decorate for Valentines Day or St. Patrick's Day but we do celebrate St. Patrick's Day if only because its my birthday! This year DH and I are going on a skiing trip!
But I love Easter, spending time with our family and going to Church and the like.
I could care less about V-day. But St. Pat's day is kinda big for us. We are Irish so my H marches in the parade and then we go out afterwards to our local pub with all our friends. I just hate that it's become amateur night for all those teenagers.
I love Easter though. I'm excited this year because DS is 4 and old enough to understand everything now and I'm going to get him a nice suit and we will go to church and then have a nice lamb or ham dinner.
My hubby and I don't celebrate V-day, mainly becasue my birthday is so close and we both agree that if you love and appreciate someone you should let them know every day instead of reserving it for one day a year. As far as St. Paddy's day goes, we're not big drinkers, and I just make sure I have something green on as a lot of people I see on a daily basis think if I'm not wearing green they have every right to pinch me (if you ain't friend or family, don't even thing about it.)
We are into celebrating Easter, as we are Christian and it's the reason for our faith. If Jesus hadn't risen from the dead, he wouldn't have been the Christ therefore there would never have been a Christian faith. We go to church then enjoy a nice ham and pasta dinner. I just hope that my schedule will allow me to have Easter off. If only to be able to fly up to WA where my family is this year. Although I'm no longer Catholic, my uncle is becoming Catholic and being baptized into the Catholic church on Easter and my aunt is wanting to have a big celebration for him (and HIM).
