Speaking of having kids
My mom's working as a nanny right now. She watches six children under the age of eight (I believe there's an 8yo, 5yo, 4yo twins, 3yo, and 1yo).
The mom just had baby number SEVEN last week. It's a girl.
They're going to keep going until they have another boy (one of the 4yos is a boy, the rest are girls).
My mom's like, "ZOMG. What is WRONG with these people!?"
I told her she should start slipping some Yaz into the mom's tea.

This sounds like my worst nightmare.
Honestly, I consider "we're letting the Lord dictate the size of our family" a better plan than "we're just gonna keep trying until we get a boy."
At least the quiverfulls have some fashion of misguided interest in loving and raising all their children. This situation reeks of tossing the older models aside until you get the one you wanted.

way to destroy the self-esteem of the females in the family...
I hope the girls grow up, get married, and never speak to thema gain.
And that the daughters have lots of grandsons that the grandparents don't see...
