What's everyone doing for Valentine's Day? Anything fun planned?
Re: Valentine's Day :-)
We're going to OLV in SoDo for dinner, because they're doing a nice prix fixe thing for Valentine's day and then maybe out for drinks afterwards at Redlight Redlight, since we haven't been there in ages. We have a sitter to watch Dixie, our separation anxiety dog, so we're trying to make the most of the night out.
I am in a play . . . and I actually get to be in a scene with my DH! (this is the third time we have been onstage together, but this scene is special b/c we get to kiss onstage!)
If anybody is looking for something to do this weekend, just let me know and I can pass along the details. the show is a romantic comedy . . . it honestly is perfect for Valentine's Day weekend.
Other than that, we both have been too busy to plan anything else. We both decided that is was okay to skip going out this year.
Typically we stay in and Jay cooks dinner -- which is a very special treat for me, he's not a cook! This year we're going to dinner at Primo down at the Ritz Carlton. Haven't been there since the weekend we got engaged and thought it would be nice to have one last fancy, grown up dinner before my due date!
Diane - let us know how OLV is, I've been by there a couple times and might want to try it!
Hope everyone has a great weekend
My blog
Aww! That's so romantic. Hope everything goes great with the show.
Oh, I've heard good things about Primo, but I've never been. Have fun!
We've actually been to OLV several times already, because it's right near where we live, and we like it a lot. We've mostly been for lunch, but we've been a couple times for dinner, as well. Lunch is light foods like soups, sandwiches and salads. Dinner is mostly tapas style, which is fun because you get to try more than one thing. They have a pretty good beverage selection. I'm not a wine buff, but my friend who is thought their selection was pretty good and their bottle prices were pretty reasonable. DH and I like it that they have Chimay Grand Reserve in individual size bottles. They also have mini-desserts (similar to Seasons 52), which are always good. Also, their outdoor seating area is dog-friendly, and the servers are always really nice about bringing out water for our dog. We're not going to bring Dixie tonight, since most people will be there for a romantic dinner on V-Day, but normally we'd feel comfortable bringing her along.
The prix fixe concept is something new they're doing just for Valentine's Day. I'm interested to see what they have planned. They've also just added brunch to their line-up, which we haven't gotten to try yet.
Thanks! DH and I have been onstage twice before . . . but this play is just fabulous! (the onstage kisses are great! LOL!)
"Almost, Maine" is the perfect love story . . . and I am just lucky and blessed that I got to do this show.
