I didn't see it, but there's a show on Animal Planet called "Animal Cops" or something like that - and I bawl every.single.time they have to put an animal down, and I swear it happens at least once an episode.  I finally told the girls I could not watch that show with them.  C wants to be a vet, and she is so professional about it (at age 9) - she said "mom, the dog is no longer suffering, it was for the best."  I have amazing kids.

Oh I'm awful.  I was going to go to vet school until I was 17 and we had to put our dog down.  I quickly realized...nope, I can't do that.  I can't watch those things either!

Sheri... last night DH and I were 'talking' about the possibility of having to put our pooch down.  I'm very sad.  She hasn't been herself, not really eating (unless I make something special or she's just too darned picky) and has been falling (although not far being a Bassett) a lot more-like her hips are giving out or she can't see-which I'm not really sure.

DH says I'll have to make that choice-wha? Why me? Ellie's been around for 14 yrs and I've been around her for about 4-5 of those years.  Then he says he wants to do it alone. ok, which is it? cause I really don't want to take her in for that at all... I have a feeling it'll happen this spring.

 Hope this isn't a downer for ya and today is going better!

WORST COMMERCIALS EVER! 

But totally effective, as we donate monthly to the ASPCA and our local humane society.  I'm a sucker for big doggie eyes.

That commercial KILLLS me every time. Its the one eyed dog that does me in

We donate to ASPCA as well, but what pisses me off is they send soooo much junk mail. Its like wow, is that what my donated money is going towards? JUnk mail and no thelping ol one eye.

I cried in the waiting room with some chick I had never met before because she was there to put her dog down.  What made it even worse was that it was obvious that dog needed to be put down awhile ago...
