Boo's-
Work has been crazy. Got a new client which is much more complex than any others I've worked on, so it's been a challenge. It's cutting into my Nest time which is not cool. But, in times of constant layoffs, I'm happy to be busy and needed.
Trying to close my refinance loan and the mortgage company (my old employer) is a douchebag. They've missed 3 closing date and my rate even expired (they had to extend at their cost). I've had to email the same docs to them over and over again and explain to the loan processor how to read my asset statements because the underwriters couldn't understand that you can have three accounts on one statement (that's insanity!). I and DH used to work there and underwrite loans, so we know they have everything they need and are being morons. This is what happens when you layoff your entire professional underwriting staff and outsource it to another country. If they can't handle my slam dunk of a refinance, I can't imagine they will be in business much longer. Sad.
Got 14.5 inches of snow on Wednesday over the 24 inches we had from the weekend. DH has spent the last 2 days shoveling. My office closed early but since I have a laptop and can work from home, no half day for me. Feckers!
Yay's!
My birthday was yesterday (well, that's a boo really) but we were able to get out to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It was mobbed but we got some seats at the bar. Red Velvet Cheesecake = heaven.
DH bought me the Jillian Michaels and Trainer Bob exercise DVD's I wanted and some new sports bras for my b-day! I know, romantic, right? He also got me a collection of UD shadows and a martini glass with a paw print. He's so good.
Today is Lasik day! 1:00. I'm anticipating some major side effects and the need for my eyeballs to be removed. Maybe I can get them replaced, a la Minority Report?
Re: Boo's and Yay's
Happy belated birthday, Shmoop.
Good luck today with the eyeballs. Be sure to report back on how it was.
lots of excitement...
I'll just say yay lasik :-)
