I don't know how I forgot this. I was in high school and this guy I was friends with kept bugging me and bugging me to go out with him. Finally I agreed. He was a white kid. He took me to see "Driving Miss Daisy". I didn't know what it was about, but he did. I squirmed in my seat with him for about 30 minutes, but I just couldn't do it. I told him I didn't feel well and left. He followed me out, all confused and whatnot. He actually huffed, "I thought you'd like it, it's about black people." He made the mistake of getting indignant with me about it. I called my dad to come pick me up. The guy and I were not friends after that.
*gah* The early 90's were so racially charged.
