Reviews on The Signature Room at the 95th

Has anyone been to The Signature Room at the 95th?

I am looking to bring my DH for our anniversary next week.  Is it formal, dressy, casual?  What is appropriate to wear?

 Reviews would be great!  Thanks.

Re: Reviews on The Signature Room at the 95th

  • We went there last December. It is dressy, I wore a dress & the hubs wore a suit. We had a gift card for $150 and still spent $100 more. Granted we got 2 appitizers, 2 entrees, 2 dessert, and a bottle of wine. If we didn't have that gift card, we would have ordered as much food. It is really good food.

  • We went for lunch and were fine in jeans and nice tops. I'd dress up for dinner, though. The view was incredible, but to be honest, the food was very mediocre--especially for the price.

My recommendation would be to go to the lounge area for a pre-dinner drink and admire the view, and then go somewhere else for dinner.

  • Yes, totally agree with KristiKess.  There are so many better options in the city from a menu standpoint.  It's fine, but they're really resting on their laurels due to the view.  Do drinks at the Signature Lounge and dinner elsewhere.
  • I've heard the same thing about the food- and with so many amazing restaurants in Chicago, I avoid places with mediocre reviews.
