another EI/Mat leave question

I received my last payment on Tuesday Feb 2 for two weeks and got another today, for only one week.  It says it's the first week of my reporting period.

I receive a top up from my employer and will also receive stat pay for Monday Feb 15 (family day).  Do you think I received my pay early because I don't qualify for it next week because of my stat pay?  My ROE did have a schedule of payments attached to it, so EI would be aware of what my pay will be for that week.

Re: another EI/Mat leave question

  • I don't think your top up is affecting it but I got mine as a lump sum not a weekly/biweekly payment so who knows. I think it could be related to your stat pay though. Why are they paying you for those?

Why are they paying you for those?

Cause they want to screw me over.  Pretty sure that stat pay puts me over what I can make on EI and now I get nothing for the week.  I'd make more on EI.  Maybe I'll ask them not to pay me.

  • I would totally ask them not to pay you. It doesn't seem worth it at all.
