Don't care about the Olympics

I don't really care about the Winter Olympics.  Growing up, I always felt like the odd girl out when I didn't want to watch figure skating for hours at a time.  Yawn.

Then don't watch. I think you can avoid it if you want to.

I like the Olympics, some events are better than others, but overall I find them interesting.

Of course I will not watch.  It's hard to avoid it though when I like to read the news.  Most of the top headlines this week on yahoo, msnbc, cnn and other news websites were Olympics related.    It's just like, come on, there has to be some real news to put in the headlines. 

The olympics has started invading my regular radio morning show, too.  Odd, since I listen to a hard rock station.

Well, the Olympics are broadcast by NBC, so I would expect their sites to have lots of coverage. It is a pretty big event for a lot of the world, so I can see how news sites would talk about it.

Wow, are you offended that someone could possibly not care about the Olympics?  I'm sensing a lot of snark coming from your posts.

I could not care less if you do not like the Olympics. However, to complain that news sites, especially ones affiliated with exclusive coverage, are covering the event does not make sense to me.

Um, I didn't complain that they are coming the event.  I said that almost (if not every) headline is Olympics related.  You pointed out that I could avoid the Olympics, and I'm just saying it's simply not possible, even if I avoided NBC for the next two weeks or however long the Olympics last.
