Do tree flowers count? When my weeping cherry is having a good year, there's nothing prettier. Ceanothus is probably second followed by hydrangeas and callas (which are in full bloom in my yard as of today!).
Hyacinths, tulips, daffs in my area. The smell of hyacinths is a lovely greeting when we pull in our driveway. The smell is too strong when you are near them, but perfect from the drive or front porch.
If I lived in a tropical place, I'm sure it would be different.

I like crocus because they are the first to come up in my yard. They are the first to break the horrible winter sadness!
I also like hyacinths because they smell good.
Well, almost any bulb is good with me. They are easy to care for in my climate and they always look stunning.
