Can I get some examples of your breakfast/lunch ideas?
I am trying to conceive my second child and having the hardest time ever. I have been diagnosed with low egg reserve (meaning little left). I have decided to change my eating habits and do accupuncture as well. Apparently doing shots of wheatgrass juice is a great thing to do as well.
I would love to get ideas for meals and snacks that contain little or no preservatives, colors, flavors, etc.
Thank you
Re: Can I get some examples of your breakfast/lunch ideas?
My usual breakfast is steel-cut oatmeal or mixed grains with nuts and dried fruit, or often leftovers (i'm not big on "breakfast food"). In the summer it's often fruit and yogurt.
Lunch varies, but usually involves something whole wheat (pita, bread, wrap) or brown rice, veggies and nuts or legumes. Examples:
- wrap/torilla with yogurt, seasoning and spinach, salad with garbanzo or kidney beans and an apple
- pita and hummus with fresh veggies
- taco salad: mixed greens, soynuts, black beans, salsa, ranch or yogurt/seasonings and crushed tortilla chips on top
- sandwich: whole grain bread, avacado, sprouts/spinach, tomato or pepper, sometimes with cheese
- caprese sandwich: fresh mozzerella, tomato, fresh basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar on baguette or other fresh bread
- brown rice and steamed or stirfried veggies (i do use purchased sauces)
- soups: variety of veggies (carrots, spinach, kale and beet greens are my usuals), veggie broth (can do homemade; i don't), pasta or rice (i often add a couple tablespoons of trader joe's "harvest grain blend"), and beans (garbanzo, kidney, navy beans), all in various combinations.
Often with any of these i'll get my protien as snacks other times in the day (yogurt, nuts, beans, lentils) or occasionally an egg.
Best sound ever: baby's heartbeat! (Heard @ 10w1d)
My breakfast usually consists of a couple of organic free range eggs, toasted Ezekiel bread, and coffee with raw milk. Lunch is leftovers.
I'd like to recommend my friend's blog to you - she has lots of great tips for increasing fertility.

I'm also eating organically to help with TTTC.
breakfast foods that i like that are good for TTC: scrambled eggs, homemade whole wheat toast with almond butter and flax seeds, whole milk yogurt with berries
snacks: almonds, dried fruit
lunch: i usually have leftovers from dinner for lunch. a lot of brown rice or couscous and dark green vegis.
