iphone vent

I broke it! I have had it from less than a week and I cracked the screen.  I was sitting on the couch last night and stood up and didnt realize it was wrapped up in the blanket. It fell like a foot onto our tile and the case flew off and cracked the screen. I now have to wait until wednesday for a new one to be shipped to us.

I am just so upset with myself for not knowing it was in the blanket. I hate when I break things!

On a positive note: DH was so good about it. Being that he just got it for me this week, he was trying to make ME feel better and telling me it was no big deal... even though it is.

vent over.

Re: iphone vent

  • Don't be too alarm. The exact same thing happened to my husband. It's a very common thing to occur, but it's also an easy repair. From what I know if you have 3 options.

    1. Go to this website: http://www.iresq.com/ It's a apple repair shop. You just send your product in and they fix it all up and a fraction of the price the mac store would. I broke my macbook screen, the apple store wanted to charge $750 to repair it, so instead we went through this source and it ended up being $150. Since you have an iphone you might need a back up phone to have while it's being repair. Just change out the sim card.

    2. Another option if you don't feel comfortable with sending it in is their is a repair shop in Miami. It's on Coral Way and 122 Ave. There is a mini mall inside the mall. They replace cracked screens for $50.

    3. Last option is to repair it yourself. You can go onto ebay and purchase a new case. It's like $17. Just unscrew the screws, replace the case, and that's it. There are even youtube videos that show you step by step on what to do.

Good Luck! Hopefully you can get it repaired. Once you do I highly recommend buying a iphone skin. That's saved my phone countless of times from breaking.

  • lol I can't believe you broke it already, Katie!!! Ugh that sucks so much.  At least you are getting a new one this week.

    Does this mean no Scrabble?

  • that stinks :(

once you get it fixed, you should get an otterbox- they're the best cases out there

  • This is my biggest fear!  That's why I bought a plastic case that secures all around!  There is virtually no way for it to break, I don't think.  The girl at the AT&T store said it was the most secure, even though it is prob the most bulky.

  • That sucks. The iphone's are very delicate. I dropped my old Samsung a million times and that thing would just keep on going. Glad to know your replacement is on it's way.

I had the otterbox and I HATED it. Try it out before you buy it. Yes, it's definitely the most secure case but I couldn't stand the bulkiness and having to unsnap it all the time. I broke my nails a whole bunch of times trying to get that thing open. It wasn't worth it to me. I returned it and got a silicone case.
