How was the weekend? Any VD stories?
This weekend kicked our asses. DH and I traded off working on Saturday. I went in to work at the ass crack of dawn and then when I came home, DH went in and worked until midnight. I stayed up to wait for him on Saturday night. He and I were worthless yesterday. We kept saying we were going to get stuff done and it never happened...I did make some fantastic omelets and a pretty kickass roast yesterday. I also made chocolate dipped fruit for dessert last night.

Saturday was pretty routine: we went shopping/ran errands/went out for lunch then DH went to Atlantic City to see Jay Leno with BIL, FIL, and BIL's friend.
Vday was fun - we went out for lunch, did some wine tasting, then went to Delaware Park (Casino) - we didn't win anything, but like playing. We had a nice dinner at home - just pasta and wine - simple but yummy. DH LOVED the Godzilla/Wedding pic that I had made for him. He's been trying to figure out where to hang it.
There was an abundance of bcbc - I'm going to TX today and won't be back until Friday.
Not much here. Bought a mattress and comforter, had a good meal, exchanged cards.
Today sucks. My sis, 3 nieces, 6let and I were supposed to go see a magician. 6-8" of snow has caused a cancellation.
We still don't have phones.
ours was a pretty good weekend.
the weekend was not really noteworthy to anyone but is. we woke up on Sunday and went to breakfast at a nice local diner. we missed the incoming morning rush literally by minutes. as soon as we ordered our food and got our coffee, we saw the line out the door.
then we went to get some valentine's gifts for the kids. we had planned to go to dinner, but then we decided we could do more stuff if we ate at home. so, we bought crab legs and steaks. we also got fondue fixins for dessert (2nd year doing fondue. i LOVE it.).
then we went to MILs to bring her flowers, and found out that SIL, the kids, and BIL/new SIL were going to be there and opted to save our dinner for tonight. we had a family valentine's day dinner.
fondue dessert was a huge hit, and i know for sure i need another ceramic fondue pot. the electric one is too high maintenance.
also a hit - my special VDay underthings.
I'm back at work for the first time since February 4th. I'm afraid to see just how much I have to catch up on, in addition to the work I'm going to have to do to help out the other person in my department. But I am glad to be out of the apartment and doing something!
Apparently my sister's BabyDaddy got kicked out of rehab for fighting, so that was short-lived.I guess he's trying to find a new place to go, but who knows at this point.
We did v-day on Saturday. There is this fabulous little Peruvian place that we like. Nothing too fancy about it, but the food is amazing.
Yesterday I ran errands in the afternoon and we watched Olympics in the evening.
We never go out for VDay so since Autumn was at the grandparent's on Saturday we decided to celebrate that night.
We just hung out together all day which was nice, cooked and yummy dinner and there was lots of BCBC.
Yesterday I POAS and it was positive so I guess that was the best gift I got.
I had a beebeetastic Valentine's Day.
We had brunch since he had to work yesterday. I got the new Sade CD, a bear, a balloon, a card (not too mushy, not too this is just a card please don't read more into it), a huge (something like 50 pieces) box of candy. I would've been ok with just the CD and the flowers. I don't think he realizes I'm not a psycho woman when it comes to Valentine's Day, but it was cute.
