As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I picture the Knot/Nest/Bump behind the scenes as some sort of elaborate Rube Goldberg device, with everything held together by rubber bands and duct tape.
I just received an email letting me know that GBCK sent me a PM. So I clicked the link, and it took me to the message...which she sent on Jan. 5. The K/N/B is officially slower than the post office.
Now I'm disappointed that I don't actually have a new PM. Ah, well.
Seriously, don't you wonder how this place manages as much uptime as it does?

And this is why I almost never send PMs...and when I do, I clutter up the board with "you have a PM" posts :-P
My FAVORITE was getting the knut message that I had a rather pshcyo PM from someone I pissed off on TIP 6 months ago--just because reliving the crazy was entertaining. In a 'huh, psycho' sort of way.
