H and I went with some of my cws to dinner on Friday. When I got home, he had purchased flowers for me in the morning, and they were waiting on the table. He bought me red and white tulips (tuplips are my fav).
H also made brunch reservations. The place was pretty nice, but we got there at the end of the shift, so they were out of some things and the make-your-own Bloody Mary bar was pretty picked over. I think if the staff hadn't been so busy/we went on another day/earlier, it would have been great.
After brunch, we went to the mall, and I bought him a case for his new iphone. Then we came home and I laid on the couch while he made some meals for the week. He also got me a card.
This is pretty significant improvement, considering last year I got a vacuum attachment. <- That's it. Just the vacuum attachment.
How was your VD?

I kicked H out for the day so I could clean and make a nice dinner.
Dinner took 3 hours longer than anticipated but was sooooo yummy and I have leftovers for a month (a lot of it s getting frozen).
I got me a really funny card and a sweet one. And a Russell Stover red heart candy box (I've never gotten one before!) and he got me tickets to see South Pacific on Broadway. We see it Wednesday night.
I got him the National Geographic collection on CD-Rom (all issues from 1888-2008) and 2 funny cards and used the last of my Candi-made cards for my sweet one.
Andplusalso, for my birfday, H took me out to a super fancy dinner where we ate amazing food and he gave me a huge ring with an emerald set in silver. Total fashion piece but super fun.
For actual VD we didn't do much. Breakfast together (made by me), exchanged gifts, I got him a dvd and some candy. We took the dogs to the park off leash on their shock collars. That was so fun. Dog #2 is crazy and can jump over HUGE snow drifts (~4').
H gave me my VD gift on Friday to wear Saturday morning.
We went out for brunch, then spent too much money at Bed Bath and Beyond, Target and the grocery store. At home we made lunch and then continued unpacking. We got the kitchen and living room set, and part of the guest bedroom. I've only unpacked a few of my boxes of clothes, but did a bunch of laundry. Man is at home today so the POD is being delivered which has the bedframe and love seat. The cable guy is coming to fix the internet/cable box and the handy man is coming to fix the kitchen light.
But, we did have our first home-cooked meal in the apartment and I got AmeriCone Dream for dessert, so it was a pretty good day.
We don't really do VD. He actually had Saturday off (he usually works 8-4), so we slept in, I made breakfast, and we did some errands together. We were supposed to do a pittie meet up walk, but it was too cold.
We went to dinner and then picked up 3 Boxer puppies on a transport, kept them overnight and then took them and 2 adults to their next transport destination on Sunday morning. Romantical
All in all a good weekend though. QT with the hubs, a few hours of puppy playing and snuggling (and enough to make us thank our lucky stars we have adults and cure any sort of puppy fevah for many many years to come), and helped 5 dogs get transported to a shelter several states away who had adoptions and foster homes ready for them.
We've never done much to celebrate Valentine's Day, so this year was no exception. Went out for brunch at one of our favorite restaurants. It was good, as expected, and then we did a little random shopping. I got truffles from Whole Foods as my VD treat, and the two I had yesterday were delicious. We finished watching season 1 of Dexter last week, so we picked up Season 2 and started that last night also.
The day before, I got him a mandolin as a belated Christmas present, so he spent much of the day fooling around with that and watching instructional videos online.
