what did you and your DH do or get each other for valentines day?

i got roses and tulips, a new vera makeup bag, and pearl earrings with a handmade card that was so cute. i got DH a painting that he has been wanting and i found the card that perfectly said everything i wanted to.

we also went to visaggios for dinner. i had the handmade seafood ravioli and tiramasu for dessert. two thumbs up!

I'm not big into doing big things for valentines day and neither is DH so we just kept it low key, but we did try to do some extra thing together this weekend. He came to my craft show on Saturday and sat with me at my booth all day. Then on Saturday night he made dinner for me (homemade chinese food) and we watch a dvd. For actual Valentines day I made him breakfast and got him a card.

We don't usually do too much for Valentine's Day (and I was sick all day yesterday). This year we kept the gifts very cheap and just got take out from Outback. From DH I got two chocolate covered strawberries that Weis was making that morning (YUM!) and this print by a favorite artist of mine. For DH I got him a hard cover of Howard Stern's Private Parts book which he's been wanting for a while.

DH and I celebrated on Saturday evening. We went to Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner and came home and watched a movie.  We were going to go snow tubing, but decided otherwise. We got each other cards and exchanged them Sunday evening and made dinner. Just kept it low key, we usually dont do too much for Valentines Day... but it was nice regardless.

I got DH a card from me and a card from DD and 3 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies.  I got flowers and candy, and he cooked me dinner since yesterday was my birthday.  We're going to shopping for a birthday present this afternoon.

Nothing romantic that's for sure. We looked at 3 houses and went grocery shopping. Dh made us steaks,potatos, and green beans for dinner. We had a glass of wine and coconut cake as well. It's been rather hectic with DS so we have little time to do anything for each other. We usually go out for a nice dinner, but couldn't exactly take LO with us yet and there isn't anyone we can have watch him yet, so we just spent the day together more or less. Dh did apologize for not being romantic anymore. He said he doesn't know what happened. Poor thing, life happened.

Valentine's Day was pretty low key for us. I got SO a polo shirt and two packs of baseball cards.  He got me a blue topaz necklace and earrings, which was a surprise.  We went to Okini for dinner then came back to my house and watched a bit of the Olympics.

We did very little other than spent the day together, I got DH a card from me and one from DS and he gave me a card. We made chili together and just hung out. 

Wish Upon A Star

DH worked 8am to 12 midnight in Baltimore so I drove down to spend part of the day with him while he worked (he is an Xray tech that travels from nursing home to nursing home in MD, so he likes the company while he is driving). When I got there I was surprised that he had a card and candy for me there, since I thought we would celebrate this evening. I got him a heart shaped cake and cleaned his car as a surprise and got us a couples massage. He got me a gift card to go shopping.
