make your own soda? flavored water
someone posted a link to a company where you get the flavoring and the machine and all you need is water.
does anyone have it ,and like it?
Re: make your own soda? flavored water
Have it and love it! Easy to use, cartridges last a long time so it's cheap after the initial purchase
http://www.sodastreamusa.com/
WTF. I had no idea that it contained splenda. Everything I heard about it said it was sugar not HFCS and I loved that idea. I had to search like crazy on their site to find ingredients in hopes that you were wrong haha, but finally in the FAQ I found:
SodaStream regular sodamix flavors contain sugar (sucrose), not high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). The exception to this is Energy Drink, which indeed does contain fructose and dextrose, in addition to sucrose. In addition to sugar (sucrose), regular sodamix flavors contain sucralose (Splenda? brand) and some also contain acesulfame potassium. If you have dietary concerns, please read the label of every SodaStream product before purchasing, available by clicking the sodamix images on the Flavors page of this website. When in doubt, consult with your physician.
Booooooo. I think we'll still try it because it's still (IMO) better than all of the soda DH drinks. But, I'm disappointed in the Splenda. Maybe we'll try it and then try to find a different syrup.

Yes, I felt like they were almost a wee bit deceptive about it. I read their Web site and didn't see anything about Splenda before I purchased (or I wouldn't have purchased). But I guess I should have looked more closely.
I can taste even the smallest amount of Splenda; there's no denying it's in there. Nasty.
