New here plus ebates ?

I am new over here and saw ebates in your posts. What is it? All I could tell is that it gives you ladies money, which I am always for.bSmile So hi and thanks for the help!

Re: New here plus ebates ?

  • Hi!

Have you ever used a cash back website?  Basically on ebates you log in and click on the link of the retailer that you're buying from, and then you shop at that retailer.  When you make a purchase from that retailer online, ebates will give you cash back according to the % cash back for that store.

For instance, if I want to buy merchandise worth $100 from Old Navy, I'd (right now ebates is giving 6% cash back on Old Navy):

    1- log onto ebates

2 - get to the Old Navy link on the ebates website

3 - click on Old Navy link

4 - shop on Old Navy as usual, spent $100 and check out as usual

5 -  ebates will credit my account with 6% of my purchase.

A LOT of stores are on there.  Most of the major department stores, Target, Walmart, etc.

    GL.

  • Thanks for the info. It sounds great! Has it worked well for you and worth the extra step?
  • There's really nothing to it.  You just go to ebates, log in, and click on the retailer's website through ebates rather than immediately going to the retailer's website.  You won't get rich off it or anything, but hey $30 is $30!  That's how much my check is for.  Depending on what you're buying, you could get a lot.  There are times when Nordies and Bloomies are giving 8%, Sears gives 15 or 20%, etc.
  • It's just like the Upromise program if you know what that is?  You buy stuff through their website (it directs you to the website you want to buy from) and then it gives you money back based on a percentage.  Upromise gives you money towards your student loans instead of a check.
  • I hadn't heard of either of these. I just signed up for Upromise and am excited to see how it works for us. SL are looming over us as I am graduating in May, so this will be a way to help out a bit. Plus we just bought a house so we have a lot of big purchases to do that Upromise does rewards for. Thanks ladies!
