"Good" headphones for iPod?
The headphones that come with the iPods hurt my ears. I am looking for a versatile "good" set of headphones... something I can use on a daily basis to listen to and to workout in.
I'm also looking for a noise-cancelling pair of headphones (for airplanes).
If there is one set that can do both (use everyday and can cancel noises in flights), or one or the other, please recommend! There are so many types out there, it's just hard to pick.
Re: "Good" headphones for iPod?
I have the kind with the inserts that go into your ears, rather than the buds that just sit in them. I can't get the buds to actually stay in. I have a cheapo pair, something like this:

They tend to cancel out noise really well, because of the way they fit in your ears. Best buy also has some that specifically say "noise cancelling", but I don't think it matters.
I have these JVC marshmallow earbuds: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/JVC+-+Marshmallow+Stereo+Earbud+Headphones+-+Pink/8720075.p?id=1200702768374&skuId=8720075
They are only $20, and they're more comfortable than my last pair of headphones which were $120 shure earbuds. I like them so much, I bought 2 pair. One for work, and one for the gym.

I have Bose earbuds. They come with three different size covers for a better fit. I love them, and I have little ears. I also hated the Apple ones because they just didn't fit me well.
I also have a pair of SkullCandy earbuds and find them pretty good for blocking out noise on planes, so that I can actually hear what I'm trying to listen to.
As for a "good" pair, DH swears by his Shure earphones. He has the E3g, but they're a few years old and now he wants these.

This! I LOVE my marshmallow earbuds and I have had one pair for three years! They are very comfortable...the only thing that is kind of annoying is that the foam gets gross looking, but they come with one replacement set and you can order more if you need them. They feel pretty much like earplugs.
