Gossip
So H and I went out of town to go to a birthday party for one of H's friends. Friend and his wife are two of my favorite people. They have crazy friends (whom H and I had never met before), and they love to gossip. Here's what I learned:
Couple #1: Engaged. The guy has this sweet arrangement where he can sleep with whomever he wants, as long as they're one night stands and he doesn't form any emotional attachments. Girl does not get to sleep with anyone else.
Couple #2: Also engaged. Guy is constantly talking about the awesome deal Couple #1 Guy has (hint, hint). Girl got really uncomfortable thinking he wanted the same arrangement, and decided on a compromise: Guy gets to have threesomes (without Girl), because that way his attention is divided and he won't be able to form an emotional attachment to one girl over the other. Girl knows she'd be heartbroken if it happened, but thinks he won't go through with it. He has already posted an ad on Craigslist.
Couple #3: Married. Very attractive; WASPy; he comes from lots of money. And oh, by the way, he beats her. They've dated since college, and apparently this has gone on since then. Basically all of girl's friends threw their hands up in despair, and she has no one left other than our friends. They check up on her regularly and pretend to think her husband is wonderful just so she knows she has support when she needs it.
Couple #4 gets their own post, because I don't want their crazy to be overshadowed by these lightweights.

These are actually H's friend's friends. We keep them though because of general awesomeness and great stories.
