I'm looking for ideas for my husband's 30th b-day that is in the begining of April! Nothing like waiting till' the last minute! He's hard to suprise, but I would love to be able to pull that off! We have a lot of family & friends, so I would love to have them involved, but of course the budget is tight. Any ideas?
Re: Ideas for 30th Party
I hosted a surprise 30th for my dh a few years ago.
We went out to dinner and I had a few people sneak into the house and deocrate and let guests in.
Then I blind folded him and drove him around town so he didnt know we were going back home. I took him down the alley and through our back gate. Everyone was on the back poarch and yelled surprise. totally took him off gaurd.
I kept the food simple since the party started at 8, no one was expecting diiner. I just had chips, dips, finger foods and cake.
Like PP, I would suggest doing it after 8 to keep food costs down. Also, you can stick to beer and wine to keep alcohol costs low.
And it's mid-Feb - you've got plenty of time!
GL!

Im doing the same for DH for his 30th in March. Im going to take him out to dinner and blindfold him so he doesnt know where we are going. Im going to take a different route to confuse him a little. The restaurant is actually owned by one of his clients/friends so Ive already made arrangements to have snacky foods (like wings, mini crabcakes and sliders) and drink tickets for invitees. If they want to order something else off the menu, they can do that.
GL to you! I know Im having a hard time keeping it a secret!
is there a family member who can host it for you with a bigger yard or something, or a park? be easier to surprise him. just think of an excuse to get him there, "stop by to pick something up" on your way to dinner just the 2 of u...
